- 2 cups brown rice
- 4 cups water
- ½ teaspoon salt
- In a medium saucepan, bring the water to the boil. Add in the rice and salt, cover cook on medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Cook for a further 20 minutes on low to medium, checking that the rice has absorbed all of the water. You will know the rice is ready when it has small visible holes.
- Remove from the saucepan and place on plate. Cover with aluminum foil and let it rest for a further 10 minutes. Break up any lumps with a fork.
